not showing off... i post this to make a point. to the artist (or the profiteering gluttons behind them) how want to pass laws to control content. or the artist, writer, musician, or whatever who think "If you're good at something, never do it for free!" those who forgotten the love of creating VS the love of money. like controllable dancing monkeys begging for tips. [link]
remember why you started creating in the first place... [link]
i tried for a long time to control this image [link] and stop it from being used and taken with permission. bitching about rights, professionalism, and what i'm owed but to no avail. but i've learned to live with it cause, art belongs to the people.
yes is feel wrong to have something taken from you... and it sucks when your a "starving artist" and you get no respect. but these things shouldn't stop you from living, creating, and doing what you love. and laws don't help! art imitates life and shit happens... you keep on rocking, or else you was just phony to begin with.
if you don't want your stuff to be stolen then hide become "one of those death mutes" like JD salinger did. but just think about what shame that is... a safe full of works the world will never see. it's like a tree that fell but never made a sound... did that artist really live?
find The Hacker Manifesto online and read it... think twice before supporting such a stupid law! lets remember why this is deviant art. not follow the leader, or lets fit in a tight square, or lets make some money art!
But is this a good or bad thing for you? What if they're inspired by you? I know, they might just be selfless people, stealing your artwork because they're either a. jealous, b. trolls, or c. trying to get people to notice you. I think it's more of how people look at it. Of course, it STILL is your art, you just chose to share it with the people... is this making sense to you?
Difficult choice.
