ok a variation on one of the many cool exercises in the betty edwards book drawing on the right side of brain.
or left-handed drawing
in her book she says draw your left hand twice, once looking back at your drawing the other not looking back. as an exercise to get used to drawing contours.
what i did was draw my left with my right and my right with my left. just to compare the too.
i'm too used to drawing with my right and old habits kick in when trying to draw realistically. ergo exactly whats in from on me. but with my left i take more time and attention and for some reason it looks more realistic. which is another book i'm reading.
just thought id share this little experiment. the more you try different things the more you'll learn about your self, and how your brain works and so on. which will in turn help you later and make you a better artist.
for me i always known i was ambidextrous. taught to write with my right in school and hand trouble with it and my hand writing has always been sloppy. and i hear its the case for most artist.
