Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. i'm getting used to the whole people taking my images and post them on their web sites blogs facebook whatever. kid or people who don't know any better and think that can use it. i also go as far as getting used to people who write web articles and decide to use my image just cause they found it on the web. like here... BUT PUTTING MY IMAGE ON T-SHIRT FOR SALES ON THE WEB IS GOING TO FAR AND IT'S NOT ALLOWED!!!

look at the link and look around people, there are many images there all of which i'm sure they got from the net. these guys don't look like they got licensing from dc and marvel to sell shirts.

now i do realize the reason they used my image is cause i posted the high rez for people to color in. it's not cool if people abuse my kindness. don't make have to take my high rez inks and pencils down!!!

check the link, if you see a contact or page where people can complain, let me know i know spanish but i can't read it well enough to navigate a web page so easily.

the guy who wrote back to me seemed scared out of his wits when i mentioned lawyer. he said he will take my image down. if others can identify other stolen images and or some get the attention of guy at DC or marvel this guy will buckle.

this sorta thing is hard to keep track of or control no matter what laws they pass. first new technology needs to invented first.

do you know anyone at marvel or DC? cause i'm sure they would be ticked off at these guys also, these are licensed characters and symbols they are placing on their cafe press knock off t-shirts.
